I had ACL and redistribution for LAB. Neither copy run start nor wr me worked.
wr me had invalid command popped up and copy run start came up with command can't be something and I think the points that I lost was for this. 2 SIMs, I think some of the answers in the exams were incorrect, I heard somewhere that Cisco put at least 3 or 4 wrong answers, so here is he reason, one of the questions was about SPF algorithm and how many time it was executed in R4, in order to find the answer you need to run "show ip ospf" command in R4, when I did that, the answer was 7 (SPF algorithm executed 7 times) but there was no 7 in answers,1,5,9,20,54,224.
Anyway, I have now started studying the switching and hoping to sit for exam in next couple of weeks.

I passed my ccnp in July and i didn't save my config with "copy run start" in global configuration mode, but i had seen in the "show run" the presence of a server FTP with its ip address and credentials. Now i learn ccnp tshoot and i saw here that one can save config direct in server FTP. For the new future takers, if the "copy run start" does not work, try this one "copy run ftp://login:[email protected]" where the login and pass stands for login and password respectively and x.x.x.x stands for FTP's ip address. Please tell me if i work, it's for my research.
Regarding of saving in exam !, in state of do copy run start which it is not working, what command i have to enter in order to save my work.

Exam says this is answer B, 30, 120, 120, which is not the case on the exam, on exam the link was 10, 40, 40, and the link to R1 was 30, 120, 120
I guessed that C was the correct answer that it should be 10, 40, 40.
Didn't make that big a difference, a pass is a pass. Everything else was spot on.
I've jsut passed the exam in France, no surprise 149q is completely valid.
I had 51 questions, EIGRP Sim && OSPF Sim + EIGRP-OSPF Redistribute + PBR.

CCNP Routing and Switching from Kevin Wallace:
Stateless Autoconfiguration
The second of the two options for dynamic IPv6 address assignment uses a built-in IPv6 feature
called stateless autoconfiguration as the core tool. Stateless autoconfiguration allows a host to
automatically learn the key pieces of addressing information—prefix, host, and prefix length—plus
the default router IP address and DNS IP addresses. To learn or derive all these pieces of
information, stateless autoconfiguration actually uses the following functions:
Step 1. IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP), particularly the router solicitation and router
advertisement messages, to learn the prefix, prefix length, and default router
Step 2. Some math to derive the interface ID (host ID) portion of the IPv6 address, using a format

NOw, somehow, this have lessen my confusion.
Probably B c will be the correct answer if they put a range of IPV6 address in the pool hence making it a stateful dhcp.

Please take a close look at eigrp and ospf sim and verify the show commands before answering .Labs are PBR and Redistribution
Also are there any different questions in real exam than these dump questions.
I think here is a bit of a confusion caused. Question asks about the addressing mechanism, not protocol. DHCPv6 can assign IPv6 only after SLAAC advertises a host-id. Now we have to remember, this host-id gets created on the grounds of EUI-64. So, leasing IPv6 by DHCPv6 is just implementation of the set-up mechanism - combination of SLAAC and EUI-64.

Reg, SIM 4, we will need to remember, route-map 10, was created exclusive to HTTP traffic from LAN subnet, so will need the route-map 20, for other kinds of traffic as per the question.
Reg, the 'Infrastructure Security' I don't recollect which questions in particular, however, in-spite of thorough preparation, made most of the mistakes in this section.

Be careful on Infrastructure Services section, some answers are not correct on the dump 149q.
Be careful with the redistribution question as not to use Area number but Process ID and watch out for the type of link used between R2 and R3, also the OSPF evaluation question may be twisted e.g. Answer may be R1-R3 should be 10 40 40 or R2-R3 is 30 120 120 depending on the question. Always check before answering the questions.
Dont depend only on the dumps, prepare well before going to the exams. Questions may change at any point of time.

SLAAC is implemented on the IPv6 client by listening for these local Router Ads’ and then taking the prefix that is advertised to form a unique address that can be used on the network. For this to work, the prefix that is advertised must advertise a prefix length of 64 bits (i.e., /64); SLAAC will then dynamically form a host identifier that is 64 bits long and will be suffixed to the end of the advertised prefix to form an IPv6 address. Originally, the host identifier was formed using the EUI-64 rules (the same that are used to form link local addresses) and many devices still use this method.
Also, DHCPv6 (Dynamic and stateless) cannot function as a standalone addressing mechanism, it will need inputs from SLAAC to allocate IPv6 to the hosts.
So in a nutshell, EUI-64 is the rules/framework that SLAAC uses to determine the prefix based on host link-local address, which DHCPv6 uses to assign IPv6 to hosts.

In SIM, the 'wr mem'/ 'copy run start' may not execute, just relax and confirm moving to the next question. Put little careful attention to 'Infrastructure Security' section, as in this section answers in dumps may have few minor errors. Overall it was good one. But it felt like Cisco may change it any time. So my advice shall be plz don't waste time making choice of dumps.

Issues with some answers of the Sims as the options were clearly not there, some show commands (eigrp topology, show ip route etc) did not work and so on. All in all, a good exam.

2 remarks:
- in OSPF outlet: R2-R3 values are not 30/120/120 - I'm not sure about correct reply
- in PBR lab, be careful to use extended ACL otherwise you wont be able to filter protocol

After extensive study and an EXTENSIVE back to back review of dump I can say that dump is NOT VALID.

so, the correct answer is not as in the dumps when you select the hello and dead timers 30, 120, 120.

In the eigrp/ospf redistribution lab somebody said that ospf timers need to be corrected.
Is the following correct:
1)in R2 and R3, all interfaces: show ip ospf interface interfacename#/#
2) if ospf timers re not equal in ALL interfaces, then:
ip ospf hello-interval #
ip ospf dead-interval #
is this approach correct?

2 remarks:
- in OSPF outlet: R2-R3 values are not 30/120/120 - I'm not sure about correct reply
- in PBR lab, be careful to use extended ACL otherwise you wont be able to filter protocol
R1(config)# ip access-list extended 100
R1(config-stda)# permit tcp any any eq www

149q is valid all the question are taken from dump, however i did something wrong because i failed several questions. The answers are mixed up, take care! Take also care with the eigrp/ospf redistribution.

First you have to check OSPF Process ID in the topology, Then use the same number in Configuration .

Questions are changed There are some from dumps that are changed and also new questions. I agree with "frodo" about the type of questions and technologies. there ware two drag and drop: one was to arrange BGP states with explanations on the right and the other one was about cef. My proposal for others is to read the official cert guide and additionally read online about certain technologies that you feel you are weak, and then read all recent dumps that you can find. good luck :)
