Got a score of 1000/1000 for the 1st take! I reviewed for almost 2months
Scope of exam: Watsons314q, EIGRP troubleshooting (k value mismatch. use show run, show ip route, show ip protocol commands), OSPF troubleshooting (same problem here in 9tut. use show run command), ACL 1 (same problem here in 9tut), ACL 2 (mod 4)
My advice to all future examinees:
Memorize and understand the watsons314q. It helped a lot. No Tab key and ? in the exam(not all shortcut commands are available). Try to memorize the commands or atleast memorize the shortcut command like show run, ena, show ip route.

I took an exam today, and it was somewhat different.
I would say 10~15% of the questions was different from this one.
If you study well based on this, you should be able to answer though.
Especially Lap question was different.
The financial question, instead of 80 port only, it asked block all. It looks very very similar but one line got changed from the question. I almost got wrong answer.
eigrp lap question.. it was pretty different as well.
new type of frame relay map purpose question... etc...
I passed, but it was more difficult then I expected.
and I just remember... few pictures from dump is wrong. Question itself is wrong. I recall at least 2 questions have wrong image. made me very confusing while studying.
But if you just use this one for studying material, you should be good. Good luck

Logout and login back in the simulator. Open the simulator click on the help from the menu bar then click on the about simulator you will see the option to logout click on it and login back.

Here’s my advice for everyone to PASS this exam:
- Download the book: (How to master CCNA) nicely and simply explaining things - good for studying CCNA in general.
- Check out the serious of videos for Ahmed Nazmy (in Arabic) on youtube for this dumb questions and answers, helps alot.
- Just like any other dump, I used this method to study it:
-Go through the whole dump 314 questions, if you answer a question alone then go next, if you fail to answer a question alone, then MARK IT , then keep going, do this until you finish the whole dump questions.
-Once finished, try to answer the MARKED Qs alone, you will do better this time, and keep the failed Qs MARKED to review them again.
-Repeat until you finish the WHOLE dump ALONE, then you're ready for the EXAM - good luck, and don't forget Doaa ;)
- Labs are the most important, and these what I have got in my exam:
OSPF , ACL1, ACl2, Eigrp, Eigrp troubleshooting.
(Remember to study all labs with its modifications (Mods)) , it happened to me that I didn't get the main ACL2 question otherwise I have got mod3 so make sure you study them all.
Make sure you solve ALL labs alone so you can do alone in the EXAM, at least solve them twice alone , and use packet tracer to open the labs and to actually practice the real lab simulations, when you can solve them all alone then you’re ready for the labs
If you have learned and understood CCNA in total, then you are going to need only 7 days to get prepared well for the exam.

I strongly reccomend you to check whether you placed the correct config by pings. I configured ACL on a different device and found it out by final tests (ping to financial server was not successful) so I had to correct it ...

There is only one new question and one question in the dump is answered wrong.
Lab is ACL 1, ACL 2 and EIGRP.
the wrong answered question was using the same subnet for both serial and Ethernet interfaces. it will not function correctly.

Use Watson dumps, Konrad dumps and a dump ETE which was mailed to me buy someone on the internet.
There were a lot of new questions. I think around 10 to 12. I don't remember all though.
For people who are mugging the dumps, you will fail. Definitely. Because Cisco is not twisting the questions. Instead of asking you the answer, they give the answer and ask you the question. So make sure you actually do know the concepts. If all you're doing is mugging, don't give the exam. Save your money.
I don't remember all the questions, but here are few I remember.
1. What command will create a DHCP pool?
Ans: # ip dhcp pool Dhcp_POOL
2. What subnet mask is used for IPv6 in Point to point links?
Ans: /127
3. Something related to translation if ipv4 to ipv6.
Ans: NAT46
4. What levels of logging will be enabled if we type "#Logging warning" command? (Question similar to this)
Ans: 0 - 4
Please note:
Question 2 is not the whole question. This was a part of the question that I remember. This was a question with "Choose Two/Three" answers and this is one part of it.
Question 3, I don't remember the question, but it was something to do with translation of ipv4 to ipv6 and the answer is definitely NAT46. Remember one thing.
IPv4 to IPv6 Translation = NAT46
IPv6 to IPv4 Translation = NAT64

About Lab.All lab in 9tut is valid but when i troubleshoting in ospf I thought that there was a network 192.168.41.0.This network wasnt be in the topology,i was write "no network 192.168.41.0"
About all exam in one question there was another ip addresses not so in the dumps.The valid answer in dumps was not valin in real exam,be carefully.passed with 1000 score.

Study materials used –
1. Studied CBT Nuggets series of ICND1 & ICND2 for about 20days. Jeremy (the trainer) was awesome and once done with the series a person would have a very good understanding on Networks. I could answer 60-70% of dumps questions with just learning through videos.
2. 9tut.com (http://www.9tut.com/category/ccna-lab-sim) practiced all the Simulations using packet tracer. I am pretty sure that if you would learn networks through cbt nuggets all the simluations could be practiced in few hours (2-3 hrs. ;) ).
3. And some new questions provided @ 9tut -> http://www.9tut.com/new-ccna-new-questions-2
4. Finally, Mr. Watson’s dump which really helped as all questions except 1 were from dump.
Coming back to the exams

I was asked 51 questions as mentioned before which had 3 simulations included. I would like to give you a tip if in cause you do a mistake which even I did. In Access List 2 (http://www.9tut.com/78-ccna-access-list-sim-2) as you know we have to apply the command “ip access-group 100 out” on f0/1 but I applied it on f0/0 by mistake. Now this problem can be easily resolved by using the command “no ip access-group 100 out” but the problem I faced is that CISCO DOESN’T ALLOW “NO” commands. I tried removing the access-list also by using “no router access-list…..” but even this didn’t work.
Now, considering the scenario given if we apply the access list to f0/0 and leave it as it is then also it’s not a problem as it doesn’t block any of our configurations. You can keep it as it is and apply the access list to f0/1 and all your given requirements in the questions would work absolutely fine but I am not sure if CISCO would deduct points for that or not.
So, what I did was just this – “copy startup-config running-config” (not and “copy running-config startup-config”) and what it did was the startup configuration came back i.e., the initial configuration provided with the question. After that it was simple, I just created the access-list again and applied it to f0/1.
Exams has 3 sections –
1. 15 mins of information on how to write the exams, rules, etc. and I recommend all of you to read it without fail.
2. The exam for 120 mins (I forgot to mention one more thing, there is also a comment option with every question which allows you to input any comments / feedback regarding that question. Not sure how helpful it would be but can be used if required as it would be read by the CISCO people after few days of exams and if required they might call / mail you too. :p)
3. Survey on how the exam was.
I know it’s a very big post but could be helpful for those appearing for the exams in the upcoming days. :) All the best. I will soon be launching a website for those who wish to learn CCNA and appear for the certifications. Would post the URL on this forum.
